To understand the upcoming  Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) releases, it'll be helpful to watch important movies that introduce important characters and storylines. Here are seven must watch Marvel movie to understand the new releases:

1. Iron Man (2008)

This is the movie that kick-started the MCU. It introduces Tony Stark also known as Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Jr). This movie sets the tone for the entire Marvel universe which is why it is a must watch to understand the iconic character!

This movie set the record for highest-grossing film of all time; it had the highest opening weekend gross, and the fastest cumulative grosses through $2.5 billion. This movie concluded phase 4 of the MCU. It wrapped up many storylines making way for the new ones to come in phase 5 of Marvel. 

9. Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

This film follows Spider-Man which further delves into the multiverse. It introduces new characters and sets the story for the future films.
